Prime Minister, Dr. Kamal Al-Ganzoury, decreed the development of properties of the Egyptian Awkaf Authority affiliating Al-Agouza district on 14 feddans to serve residents of Al-Lewa Land through entrainment, health or educational services, instead of making it residential area. This demand was provided by Al-Lewa Land Youth Coalition. During the meeting, it was agreed on offering alternative land or the state will bear the land price so that the mentioned land will be allocated for health and entertainment services. Giza Governor added that the housing project was canceled in order to help reducing population therein, and increase the road efficiency and main corridors.
The meeting discussed means of dealing with Al-Zomr cannel as being one of the largest pollution sources, and it was agreed between Ministries of Irrigation, Agriculture and Giza governorate to provide new irrigation sources for the cannel, and open central road to facilitate the traffic therein. He added that each district in Giza is divided to 10 geographical departments, and contracting is carried with 16 new companies to help remove garbage from various districts. The parliamentary member Amr Al-Shoubaky said that the meeting represents a serious trial to correct accumulated faults existed in the old regime including people’s desire to determine the region’s nature and this show their participation in decision-making. One of Al-Lewa Land Youth Coalition stated that during the recent period a plan was set to achieve real development therein. Concerning the agreement between the parliament and the government on IMF loan, Al-Shoubaky said that disagreement on loan comes within a larger problem between the government and the parliament upon the request on withdrawal confidence from the government which did not approved by the majority, adding that the national issues shall be away from the political frame. Al-Shoubky noted that the government request on having loan from IMF is a good idea of benefit to the economy. In this concern, the Minister of Planning stated that government dealt with full transparency in this issue concerning consultation with parties, and meetings of the parliament sub-committees with the fund mission. The loan will support the budget and the foreign monetary reserves, and overcome the payment balance deficit, the Planning Minister. |
