Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade, Dr. Mahmoud Eissa said that the ministry is currently implementing a plan to develop the commercial representation body at both the internal and external levels in order to cope with the internal and external changes with the purpose of achieving the maximum economic interests in the next period.
The Minister pointed out that it was decided to form two committees, where the first committee will lay down the standards and systems for evaluating the performance of commercial offices in view of the growth they achieve in exports and increase of trade exchange. The second committee aims at achieving transparency and fairness in the movement of members of the diplomatic corps. The Minister stressed the importance of development of the commercial representation body and activation of its role to contribute in developing relations between Egypt and world countries, opening new channels for the promotion of Egyptian exports, increasing investments to Egypt and participate in foreign exhibitions. He added that the next stage requires the development of new visions and plans to support the national economy in light of the difficult conditions Egypt is currently witnessing. The meeting was attended by Ala'a Qenawy, head of the commercial representation body. |
