The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, received on (7-6-1433) a phone call from Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi, head of the Supreme Council of the Egyptian Armed Forces.
During the phone conversation, Field Marshal Tantawi reviewed the historical relations binding the two brotherly countries, expressing hope that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will reconsider its decision to recall Saudi Ambassador to Egypt for consultations and to close the Kingdom's embassy in Cairo and its consulates in Alexandria and Suez. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques replied that he will consider this matter within the coming days in accordance to the circumstances and the interests of the two brotherly countries, which stem from a long history of cordial relations.
