SFD Finances Highly Employment Projects

Prime Minister, Dr. Kamal Al-Ganzoury, witnessed signing of contract on irrigation improvement in Sewa Oasis between the Ministry of Irrigation, Social Fund for Development and Matrouh Governorate. The contract was signed by the Minister of Irrigation, General Secretary of the Social Fund for Development, and Matrouh Governor.

The project aims at implementing highly employment projects for establishment and renewal of founts of length 13,50 km including establishment of the complimentary actions such as the catchment wells water, and gates to serve the irrigation network in Siwa governorate with finance EGP 2.2 million including EGP 2 million from the fund, and the rest contribution from the ministry. The project will provide 6216 job for the governorate sons.

Implementation of these projects will be carried with highly employment mechanisms through contractors of the local private sector, under supervision of the Ministry and the Fund and in coordination with the governorate and in cooperation with the public administration for ground water at the west north coast and Siwa. From another side, SFD held several meetings with number of NGOs representatives in SIwa working in micro finance.
