Investments of 150 Million EGP at Beherah

Chamber of commerce of “Beherah” governorate announced the establishment the largest market complex in the Middle East over area of 57 acres with initial investments of 150 million EGP and it will be implemented effectively in next July. Engineer “Mukhtar Hamalawy”, Governor of the lake, and “Fathi Morsi”, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of “Beherah” have just signed a cooperation protocol Tuesday morning, includes the licensing of industrial and commercial shops through the chamber to enhance the performance of the commerce through facilitation to the traders and owners of facilities which will system support the national economy.

On the sidelines of this meeting , the Board of Directors of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, headed by “Ahmed El Wakeel” signed between the Chambers of commerce of both “Alexandria” and “Beherah” a protocol to launch the first commodity Stock Exchange in Egypt.

“Ahmed el Wakeel” , Chairman of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, said that the objective behind the establishment of commodity exchanges set the rhythm of the market and ensure that no items of monopoly or practices harmful to the protection of competition, adding that among the objectives also is to provide the necessary data for all commodities and products, whether domestic or imported; to be placed before the stakeholders including empowered to take actions that achieve good in the end, the necessary economic growth rates during this critical stage.

It is noteworthy that in the context of the policy of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce to establish community centers to provide services to merchants, after the experience of “Qalyubia” governorate room in this regard, also the Chamber of Alexandria start granting of licenses to provide service last week after the approval of the Governor of Alexandria.
