Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hisham Qandil has announced on 12/5/2012 that this week will witness a meeting of a tripartite committee bringing together Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan. Four international experts will be participating in the meeting which will assess the impact of establishing the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, he said. The participants will try to find consensual solutions to ensure the achievement of common interests of all Nile Basin countries, added Qandil.
Egypt to sign with Saudi Arabia, s. korea agreements to prevent double taxation. Chief of International Tax Treaties at the Tax Authority, Dr Mostafa Abdel-Qader, on 12/5/2012 said that Egypt will soon sign two agreements with Saudi Arabia and South Korea on the avoidance of double taxation. In statements on 12/5/2012, Abdel-Qader said that the Planning and Budget Committee at the People's Assembly approved a double taxation avoidance agreement that was signed with initials with Ethiopia. The agreement was referred to the People's Assembly for the final endorsement, he added.
