Electricity Minister Hassan Yunis presided on 20/5/2012 over a general assembly meeting of the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company to address future activities and the 2012/13 budget whose investments are estimated to be worth 20 billion pounds from the total investments of the five-year plan LE90 billion to add 12000 megawatts to the national power grid.
Discussions covered the financial and debt burdens faced by the electricity sector and electricity subsidies running at nearly 14.2 billion pounds, which include 10.5 billion pounds for households alone. |
