Minister of Finance Momtaz al-Saeed decided to swiftly earmark EGP500 million to the Ministry of Supply and Trade as a fourth batch to finance purchase of domestic wheat. The aggregate funds transferred until now amounted to EGP3 billion, said the minister. The Finance Ministry has already transferred EGP2.5bn to the Supply Ministry on three batche.
