Peter Underwood, the Governor of Australian State of Tasmania has received the UAE Ambassador to Australia Ali Nasser Al Nuaimi, who is currently paying a two-day official visit to Hobart City. The two sides discussed during the meeting ways to boost cooperation in the areas of tourism, economy, investment, cultural exchange, as well as the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The UAE ambassador referred to the distinguished level of the relations between the two countries in all fields, stressing keenness of the UAE government and people on upgrading the relations with Australia. For his part, the Australian official hailed strong relations and constructive cooperation between the UAE and Australia, referring to progress attained by the UAE in all fields. He stressed keenness of his government on supporting the economic and trade cooperation between the business community in the UAE and State of Tasmania. The UAE envoy also met during his visit Tasmania's Premier Lara Giddings and a number of officials in the state. He discussed with them future of the trade, economic and investment relations between the two sides.
