Chairman of the General Authority for Investments and Free Zones (GAFI), Osama Saleh, on 08/06/2012, agreed with Daqahliya Governor, Salah al-Meadawi to revive the project of establishing an investment area in Meit Ghamer, Daqahliya. Saleh also discussed social and economic conditions of the governorate and means of activating investments before investors to push forward development. GAFI Chairman pointed out that GAFI had reached an agreement with the Holding Company for Weaving and Spinning to lease 74,000 cubic meters to be used as an investment area, with the purpose of providing job opportunities and combating unemployment.
