Egypt Government Bodies not to Cash further Funds till July 1st

Finance Minister Momtaz al-Saeed gave strict instructions for all government departments not to cash the rest of financial allocation of the previous budget, to rationalize government expenditure.

Expenditure will only confine to wages and salaries of this month as well as ordinary incentives and allowances. Those who would violate instructions will be held accountable.

The Minister said that additional one billion pound to be given to Supplies and Internal Trade Ministry for the purchase of local wheat from farmers. This brings to EGP 8.5 billion the allocations for the purchase of wheat. The Minister allocated as well additional USD 100 million for Petroleum Corporation to import the needs of citizens of oil products.
