The National Media Council (NMC) and the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening cooperation in the field of economic information, exchange of expertise and training. The MoU was signed by Abdullah Salem Al Tarifi, Chief Executive of SCA and Ibrahim Al Abed, Director General of the NMC in the presence of a number of officials from both sides.
The MoU aims to achieve mutual benefit for both parties through framing cooperation relations between them, especially in the field of media and maintaining communication between both parties to achieve common interests. Following the MoU signing, Al Abed said that the move is one of the most important steps that contribute to strengthening and enhancing partnership stressing the importance of joint cooperation in social initiatives that promote national and social cohesion as it is considered a social responsibility. For his part, Al Tarifi said that signing of MoU is in line with the keenness of the Securities and Commodities Authority to promote mutual cooperation between the two sides especially in the media field.
