Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charity and Humanitarian Foundation signed a joint cooperative agreement with General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai. Ibrahim Bumelha, Deputy Chairman of Board of Trustees of the Foundation, and Major Gen. Mohammed Ahmed al Merri, Director General of the Directorate, signed the agreement.
The agreement aims to advance the joint humanitarian, charitable work and serve different categories of society. Bumelha told the media the community partnership with the residency department would see the Foundation bear costs of airline tickets to inmates who have served their jail terms pending deportation but have no money to meet travel expenses to their homeland. Al Merri said a joint taskforce were fromulated to implement the humanitarian initiative.
