Electricity Minister Hassan Younis affirmed that Egypt will never backtrack from carrying out Egypt’s nuclear program that aims at establishing the first nuclear power station in Dabaa area to produce electricity. In a statement read out on his behalf by Dr. Khalil Yasso in the opening of a workshop on Egyptian-Korean nuclear power polices, Dr. Younis said Egypt plans to increase the new and renewable energy per capita by 20% by 2010. For his part, Korean Electricity Minister deputy expressed his country's willingness to widen cooperation with Egypt particularly in the field of nuclear energy, one of the most important sources of electricity.
