The 7th forum of UAE ambassadors abroad got underway under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister. In his opening address to more than 140 leaders of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, appreciated efforts made by UAE ambassadors abroad in serving national economic and political interests. Apart from latest regional and international developments, heads of diplomatic missions and ambassadors abroad will discuss a broad range of themes on politics, economy and renewable energy.
Mohammed bin Dhaen Al Hamili, Minister of Energy, spoke about the world oil market from a UAE perspective, while Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State and Managing Director of Higher Committee for Hosting the World Expo 2020, addressed a session on the foreign ministry's support for UAE's bid to host the World Expo 2020. The ministry convenes the gathering with the aim of enhancing interaction and communication with ambassadors to discuss issues relevant to UAE foreign policy. |
