Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Mohamed Bahaa el-Dien has stressed that encroachments on the Nile River and waterways will be dealt with strictly and removed without notifying the owners. Those illegal constructions impair irrigation. Bahaa el-Dien said in statements that law will be applied and violators will be heavily fined and forced to remove the encroachments at their expense. He added that the Irrigation Ministry is carrying out campaigns in cooperation with the Interior Ministry to eradicate any encroachments.
