Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, and visiting President of Calabria Region in Italy Giuseppe Scopelliti, explored today prospects of joint cooperation in diverse areas including tourism, aviation, food industries and small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs) in agricultural produce. Al Mansouri said relations between the UAE and Italy were developing steadily and leaders in both countries were interested in maintaining stronger economic, political and social bonds.
President of Calabria Region in Italy Giuseppe Scopelliti expressed his Region's sincere desire to build strategic partnership with the UAE and drawing lessons from its experiment in tourism, airports, seaports and infrastructure. He invited UAE businessmen to invest in these promising sectors in the Southern Italy Region, which stands as a bridge between Africa and Europe. UAE and Italy have signed several agreements in economic, financial, industrial, and technological cooperation. An attractive tourist destination, the Southern Region in Italy is rich with natural resources and its economy is based on agricultural products like olive oil, and cereals.
