Presidential Spokesman Yasser Ali said President Mohamed Morsi's visit to China was successful and achieved all its goals. Ali said the visit has a political, cultural and economic nature, adding Egypt and China are makers of human civilizations. The Spokesman said talks in Beijing tackled means to boost cultural cooperation between the two countries. He noted the talks also focused on the economic file, adding that China is an economically major country. But Chinese investments in Egypt do not exceed 500 million dollars, he said, adding that the visit was also meant to lure more Chinese investments into Egypt. A number of agreements were also signed between Egypt and China at a value of more than five billion dollars, according to Ali. Joint projects will be implemented include West Suez Gulf project of which the first phase was the implemented, Ali Added.
