His Majesty King Abdullah II discussed with Chairman of the Jordanian-Japanese Friendship Society and Senior Corporate Advisor of Mitsubishi Corporation Group, Mikio Sasaki, cooperation and partnership between Jordan and Japan which have been steadily developing in various domains. Talks also dealt with scopes of cooperation between the Jordanian economic sector and the corporation which has large investments around the world. The King bestowed upon Sasaki Al Istiklal Medal of the First Order in recognition of his efforts to promote Jordanian-Japanese ties. A project to produce electricity from solar energy that was implemented by the Japanese giant corporation in the ancient city of Petra, will be officially inaugurated tomorrow.
