Minister of Communication and IT Hani Mahmoud discussed with a visiting US trade delegation ways of creating an atmosphere capable of attracting communication and IT investments. The two sides revised the Minister's strategy in the coming period to train cadres to serve in Africa and the Middle East, expand the outsourcing industry and collaborate with the sectors offering technology solutions.
The strategy aims at combating the economic and social challenges facing Egyptians such as collecting waste and assuring fair distribution of the countries' resources like bread and energy in addition to ending the traffic predicament. The minister affirmed that state institutions will soon have collective databases to ease the work of employees and citizens. "We are also working on establishing six technological research facilities," Mahmoud said and added the he understands the concerns of some investors over the unstable conditions in Egypt.
