Egyptian Prime Minister Received Iraqi Ambassador

Prime minister received Mr. Nezar khair Allah Iraqi ambassador in Cairo. The meeting tackled mutual relations, supporting cooperation, the expansion in the current projects. Iraqi ambassador congratulated prime minister for his position; he said that the meeting tackled the mutual committees between the two countries as prime minister promised to discuss all issues related to these committees with ministry of foreign affairs. Iraqi government is interested in the existence of the Egyptian companies in the Iraqi market and their role in reconstruction.

Iraqi ambassador said that Egypt supported postgraduate studies students in Egyptian universities, also Iraqi government is interested in removing obstacles that face Egyptian companies in Iraq, as there is great opportunity for Egyptian companies to enter Tenders of reconstruction projects posed by the Iraqi government, and the Iraqi side gives the Egyptian companies priority concerning government tenders. The Iraqi government made some amendments on investment law to allow the freedom of land acquisition, and there are a lot of Egyptian companies that are working in Iraq in infrastructure projects. Iraqi ambassador mentioned that they discussed with Egyptian minister of industry “the establishment of businessmen association between the two countries“.
