The Egyptian Stock Exchange (ESE) suffered minor losses at the beginning of the week on 23/9/2012, with its main index down by 0.21 per cent. The market capital gained almost L.E100 bn, reaching 404.7 billion. The main benchmark EGX 30 index registered 5,815.04 points. The broader EGX 70 index was also back by 1 per cent to reach 559.08 points. The overall EGX 100 index dropped by 0.41 per cent to close at 918.50 points.
