The Suez Canal revenues reached $ 19.5 million on 30/9/2012 as a result of crossing the highest rate of loads which was 3.4 million tons. As many as 54 ships passed through the canal, said Mohab Mimish, the chairman of the Suez Canal Authority. The vessels included a container ship carrying 160,000 tons coming from Malta heading to the UAE, he added.
