Biateral Relations between Egypt and Malaysia

Prime minister received Malaysian minister for industry and international trade; this was attended by Egyptian minister of industry and foreign trade. The meeting tackled mutual cooperation between both countries, especially activating Egyptian Malaysian business council, they also agreed on signing comprehensive economic cooperation agreement as an introduction for free trade agreement.

Minister of industry and foreign trade mentioned that the Malaysian minister invited Dr Kandel to attend economic cooperation conference for Islamic states in Malaysia. The investment opportunities in northwest area of the Gulf of Suez were presented; they also discussed ways of benefiting from the Malaysian experience in industrial projects like cars industry, solid Waste Recycling, infrastructure, desalination of sea water, taking advantage of renewable energy projects. They agreed on sending business Egyptian delegation to Malaysia to benefit from their economic experience, and a report will be presented that includes learned lessons.

Malaysian minister for industry and international trade mentioned that the meeting was positive and fruitful, as Malaysia seeks to cooperate with Egypt in all fields (especially with the critical situation in Egypt nowadays), he appreciated the reception for the Malaysian delegation and the Egyptian government keenness to overcome all the obstacles in front of Malaysian investments in Egypt.
