The Central Egypt Company has connected electricity Owainat, New Valley Governorate, with the entire national power grid to help cultivate 80,000 feddans there. Minister of Electricity and Energy Mahmoud Balbaa asserted that electricity has reached most of the reclaimed lands in Owainat, adding that electricity has now become available to any investor provided that he obtain an approval from the ministry and the Agricultural Development Authority. “Electricity has been connected to 644 wells at a capacity of 300 megawatt”, the minister pointed out.
