Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour discussed with Iraqi Minister of Industry and Minerals Ahmad Al Karbouli, means of boosting trade exchange between Jordan and Iraq as well as facilitating the movement of goods between the two countries. Ensour highlighted the strong historical ties between the two neighboring countries and said the Kingdom is keen to forge closer trade and economic relations with Iraq. The Iraqi minister voiced his country's willingness to boost cooperation with Jordan and benefit from the Kingdom's expertise in various domains. He also stressed the need to enhance cooperation between the private sector from both countries, pointing to prospects of cooperation and investment in the pharmaceutical, minerals, and human resources training fields.
