Engineer Hatem Saleh, Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade, the government's keenness to attract more Japanese investment to the Egyptian market and solving problems of Japanese car companies investing in Egypt to encourage them to expand their production. This came during a meeting between the minister with the Japanese ambassador in Cairo yesterday. The minister added that he discussed the arrangements for the convening of the Arab Business Forum Japan which is scheduled for next month in Tokyo and is a great opportunity to expand economic cooperation between Egypt and Japan in particular, with the Arab countries in general.
The meeting also discussed the problems faced by Japanese companies investing in Egypt with sit-ins unions and factional problems and licensing, as well as emphasizing the need coordination between the government in both countries to reach a satisfactory solution for both sides regarding the import Egypt Products Japanese non-food under embargo Egyptian government to import Japanese products after Vukochea disaster fear of radiation leaks, the minister stressed the need to take advantage of the Egyptian side of the Generalized System of Preferences, which gives several advantages to Egyptian investors. For his part, Japanese ambassador to his country's keenness on continuing expansion of investment in Egypt, despite the current circumstances after the January 25 revolution, and his country's keenness to increase economic cooperation with Egypt. The Japanese Ambassador invited to President Mohamed Morsi, the President of the Republic to visit Japan to deepen political and trade relations between the two countries. |
