Hamad bin Jassim Meets Ethiopian Premier

HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani ,met here Tuesday with Ethiopian Prime Minister Haile Mariam Desalegne, currently is visiting the country to take part in the UN Climate Change Conference (COP18). During the meeting, they discussed ties of joint cooperation and means of enhancing them in several areas. They also discussed execution and follow up of what had been agreed upon of agreements and memos of understanding. A number of Their Excellencies the ministers attended the meeting on part of the Qatari side while it was attended on the Ethiopian side by Their Excellencies the ministers and members of the official accompanying delegation.

HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister and the Ethiopian Premier witnessed the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the governments of Qatar represented in Qatar Mining Company and Ethiopia represented in the Minisrtry of Mining in Mines' Exploration and Drilling field and an agreement between the goverments of Qatar and Ethiopia on the use of Ethiopian labourers in Qatar. Then HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister hosted a luncheon in honour of the Ethiopian Premier and the accompanying delegation.
