His Highness Gen. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces has received the Vice President of the Philippines, Jejomar Binay, who is leading a delegation on a current visit to take part in the inaugural Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, hosted by Abu Dhabi's Masdar between 13-17 January. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed welcomed the Binay's visit and his country's positive participation in the Week which discusses the best solutions to address challenges to global adoption of renewable energy solutions, water security and sustainable development.
The meeting also discussed the distinguished relations between the two coutnries in industrial, trade, economic and investment spheres and ways to promote them in service of the interests of the two countries and their peoples. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed also discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation through expanding contacts and coordination among the institutions of public and private sectors on environmental conservation, natural resources development and the exchange of visits of senior officials and experts. For his part, the Philippine Vice President expressed pleasure at visiting the UAE and meeting His Highness the Crown Prince. He emphasized his country's interest in promoting bilateral relations with the UAE in all spheres. He hailed the care given to the Philippine community in the UAE. |
