Egyptian Ambassador to the United States Mohamed Tawfiq said that Egypt enjoys promising opportunities for growth and investment and is about to complete its democratic reform. During his meeting with a number of representatives of investment and financial companies, Ambassador Tawfiq said that following the election of Egypt's first president in democratic polls, a new constitution was approved in a public vote. "The only remaining thing is holding parliamentary elections to end the transitional period," Tawfiq said. "A great number of investors voiced their interest to get familiar with the political situation in Egypt and the scope of stability in the country," Tawfiq told MENA.
