President of the Central Bank of Egypt Hisham Ramez said on 18/2/2013 that his key mission is to curb inflation and maintain prices stable; adding that economic state in Egypt now is not well and needs reforms. The CBE president downplayed concern over polarization, saying that this was tackled by rasing the pound rate of exchange to 12.5% to alleviate pressure on the dollar.
