Egypt, US Start Talks on Setting up Free Trade Zone

Industry and Foreign Trade Minister Hatem Saleh on 14/4/2013 discussed with a US delegation means of establishing a free trade zone to boost trade relations between the two countries. The minister, at a meeting with US Deputy Undersecretary of Commerce for International Trade ken Hyatt and businessmen of the sectors of information technology, reconstruction and renewable energy, said the ministry has to apply some positive measures to boost bilateral relations as the US is one of the most important partners to Egypt. Hyatt said the visit means that the United States is committed to expand economic relations with Egypt to push forward trade relations and joint investments.
