Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Governor Hisham Ramez said that he agreed with Finance Minister Fayyad Abdel-Moneim to reconsider the bank provisions tax. In statements following the economic ministerial group meeting, Ramez said that abolishing this tax is possible, adding that this issue will be reconsidered. Any changes in this respect will be referred to the Shura Council, he added.
