Egyptian Cabinet Discusses Developing Gulf of Suez Axes

Minister of Investment Yehia Hamed asserted the necessity of activating and doubling investments in Sinai in the coming period in conformity with the state's policy in this respect. The Minister's remarks came during a meeting of the Sinai development body, attended by the Premier, along with the ministers of Housing, Trade, Health and chairman of the Economic Authority of North West Suez Gulf Ibrahim Abdel Salam. Hamed referred to means of promoting investment projects in Sinai and reviewed the system of land allocation in Sinai, which provides for allocating lands for Egyptians only under the usufruct system.
