Urgent Measures to Solve Investors’ Problems in Egypt

Industry and Trade Minister Monier Fakhri Abdel Nour unveiled that the Egyptian government is about to take a number of urgent measures to address economic challenges and settle problems facing investors and businessmen but he did not elaborate further.

He toured three factories of 192-million-dollar investments in Borg el-Arab city in Alexandria. The factories, that provide 1,800 jobs, are operating in the ready-to-wear clothes, textile, chemical and pharmaceutical domains.

Abdel Nour was accompanied by Alexandria Governor Maher Bebars. He stressed that the government is keen on boosting all foreign investments as well as local ones to push forward development process within the coming period.

Abdel Nour also attended the signing of a protocol of cooperation between the Industrial Development Authority and the Alexandria Governorate. Under the protocol, the Authority will complete the management and operation of the foundry complex in the governorate.

The protocol comes within the framework of the implementation of the Ministry's strategy to take advantage of industrial complexes and unused hangars in different governorates, said Abdel Nour during the signing ceremony.
