Egyptian Government Seeks Restoring Confidence of Investors

Minister of Trade and Industry Munir Fakhry Abdel Nour asserted that restoring the Egyptian and foreign investors' confidence in Egypt's economy and removing any obstacles impeding their projects come on top of the ministry's goals.

He noted that red tape constitutes a big obstacle before the industrial activities because of current laws and regulations, issued a long time ago and do not conform with the current changes and developments.

The minister said that within this context, he will refer a proposal in days to the economic ministerial group to revamp an initiative which he launched eight years ago with the aim of revising and developing the current laws, some of which go back to the 19th century.
