The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said that the country's foreign currency reserves slightly increased by USD 73 million for the first time in five months by 0.42 percent to reach USD 17.104 billion in January compared with USD 17.031 billion in December.
In previous statements, CBE Governor Hesham Ramez said that the country's foreign currency reserves will not decrease by end of January despite the payment of USD 700 million of Paris Club’s debts and providing banks in Egypt with nearly USD 500 million on a monthly basis. |
