Trade, Industry and Investment Minister Mounir Fakhri Abdel-Nour had a series of meetings with Russian officials and heads of funding institutions during a visit to Moscow.
In a statement on 27/03/2014, the ministry said Abdel-Nour had met with Russian Energy Minister Aleksandr Novak to probe cooperation in the different energy domains. The Minister urged the Russian side to support Russian companies working in the oil and energy fields to encourage them to invest in the Egyptian market, the statement added. Egypt has great potentials in the petrochemicals sector, Abdel-Nour said, inviting Novak to lead a delegation of oil and energy companies to visit Egypt. For his part, Novak invited the Egyptian investment, electricity and petroleum ministers to attend two important events hosted by Moscow: the International Energy Forum (May 15-16) and the World Petroleum Congress (June 15-19). |
