Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab received on 4/5/2014 a delegation of the Kuwait-based Kharafi Group.
During a meeting with the delegation, Mahlab said the government is keen to improve the climate of investment in order to lure more local, Arab and international investments. The meeting, which was attended by Agriculture and Land Reclamation Minister Ayman Farid Abu-Hadid, tackled the group's investment in Egypt and ways of overcoming hurdles facing it. The meeting also tackled the possibility of increasing the group's investments during the upcoming period. Mahlab, meanwhile, pointed out to the major challenges besetting Egypt, affirming that the government is working to improve the investment climate. Mahlab also issued directives to solve the problems which face the Kuwaiti company in Egypt and called for holding a meeting to discuss issues related to the agriculture, industrial and energy activities. The delegation, for their part, affirmed support for Egypt's efforts aiming to restore stability and revive the investment sector. They further affirmed that the group would increase its investments in Egypt within the upcoming period. |
