Yemen reviewed cooperation relations with each of China and Kuwait, in military fields.
During his meeting, Chief of Staff Ahmed al-Ashwal disused with Chinese ambassador to Yemen Chang Hau mechanisms to strengthen the mutual military cooperation, especially in the technical, information exchange and counterterrorism areas. They touched upon the Yemeni-Chinese cooperation in military medical services and the ongoing arrangements for opening the Yemeni-Chinese Friendship Hospital funded by the Chinese government. Al-Ashwal commended the ambassador's contributions in enhancing the existing partnership between Yemen and China in all fields, including military. On the other hand, the Chief of Staff held talks with Kuwaiti non-resident military attaché Hamdi al-Habib over aspects of military cooperation between the two brotherly countries' armies. Al-Ashwal indicated to the various challenges Yemen is currently facing, including terrorist and sabotage acts, which entail support from GCC's States to eliminate terrorism as Yemen's security is linked to the security and stability of the Gulf States. For his part, the Kuwaiti military attaché expressed his country's readiness to provide all assistances required to overcome challenges in Yemen, stressing the importance to boost military cooperation and exchange of information and experiences between the two brotherly countries. |
