Legal Affairs Minister Mohammed al-Mikhlafi has asserted the government's commitment to the UN Security Council Resolution No. (2140).
The speech came during his meeting with Turkish Ambassador to Yemen Fazli Çorman, Director of the United Nations Development Programme(UNDP)Mikiko Tanaka, Regional Representative of the Commissioner's office, and representatives of the embassies of the European Union, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States as well as the UN Assistant Secretary-General to Yemen, Jamal Benomar. Al-Mikhlafi briefed the senior officials and representatives on the government's efforts in carrying out the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC). He also hailed the support of the UN and the international community as well for Yemen in the democratic transition process in implementing the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanism. The ambassadors affirmed the importance of the commitments of all parties to the Gulf initiative and the UN Security Council resolutions as well as the NDC's outcomes. |
