The Cabinet, presided over by Prime Minister Mohammad Salem Basindowa, discussed in its weekly meeting developments in the national arena and measures for dealing with economic and security challenges.
The cabinet reviewed efforts exerted for solving the scarcity of oil derivatives and measures for making them available in local markets. The cabinet also issued directives to security forces to take legal actions against those who proved to be involved in creating black markets for fuel or encouraging for their creation, as such acts comes within plots aiming at inciting the public opinion against the government. While the Council of Ministers expresses its understanding to the suffering of citizens from fuel scarcity and keenness on having solutions to the problem, it confirms that blocking streets, sabotage and chaos are rejected acts because they realize aims of those who want violence in the homeland and additional burdens on the citizens. The council noted to the state's determination to take deterring and serious actions against saboteurs, criminals and terrorists whither in Mareb or other governorates. The cabinet praised the current efforts of the military and security forces on deterring saboteurs and criminals who bomb oil pipelines and power lines in Mareb and those who are blocking roads before the trucks carrying gas and oil derivatives to Sana'a. |
