Prime Minister Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab emphasized the government's keenness on solving problems and removing obstacles facing the Arab and foreign investments in Egypt. He added that the Arab and foreign investments grease the wheel of economy in Egypt.
The Prime Minister's statements came during a meeting on 26/06/2014 to follow up his latest directions on combating smuggling and controlling ports in Port Said, north east of Egypt. The meeting reviewed the outcomes of the work of three taskforces, formed upon Mahlab's directions, to follow up systems of security, services, and development in the Suez Canal city. The meeting affirmed the importance of supporting the comprehensive development of Port Said, and allocating necessary funds for the purpose, highlighting that the governorate enjoyed various advantages in the tourism, industry, trade, and services domains. The meeting also stressed the significance of creating more job opportunities for youth in the city, providing training centers for them, in addition to devising a serious plan to develop the slum areas. The meeting was attended by the ministers of finance, transport, civilization's development and slum areas and investment, along with the governor of Port Said and representatives from the ministries of interior and industry. |
