Planning Minister Ashraf al-Araby said that the economic and social development plan has been set for the new fiscal year.
The plan includes establishing a comprehensive health insurance for all Egyptians that covers all diseases and allocating 3% of the growth domestic product (GDP) to the health sector to be gradually increased to meet the global standards. The plan also sees earmarking 4% of state budget for education and 2% for university education. According to the plan, the government will be tasked with upgrading slums, re-demarcating cities, and providing infrastructure and facilities. |
