Environment Minister Khaled Fahmy met on 19/8/2014 with US Chargé d'Affaires to Egypt David Ranz to discuss prospects of cooperation in the field of ecology and environment protection.
The meeting took up the proposed project of decentralization of environmental management and the potentials of a US technical and financial support. "We discussed the impact of using new and renewable energy in different projects," the minister said in a statement. The meeting discussed the minister's proposal of using solar energy in power generation for homes in the poorest villages and the needed technical support for these projects. He added that the US diplomat said many US companies were keen to operate in the Egyptian market. |
