Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Sherif Ismail, who arrived in the United Arab Emirates on a two-day visit, will probe domains of joint cooperation between the two countries during the forthcoming period.
Cooperation will comprise the fields of oil prospecting, drilling, output, as well as means of boosting the natural gas production in Egypt, said the Minister. Moreover, the minister said that he will discuss as well the possibility of setting up joint petroleum enterprises between both countries. On another level, Engineer Mohamed al-Masry, chairman of the Rosetta Petroleum Corporation, revealed that a British company operating in Egypt will allocate approximately USD 400 million to complete development of its enterprises in Egypt's Delta areas of Rosetta and Borolos. The project is aimed to boost the output by nearly 400-450 million cubic feet of natural gas daily, he said. |
