Yemeni Coast Guard forces seized on Sunday three Egyptian fishing boats were fishing randomly and illegally in Yemeni territorial waters in the Red Sea.

A security source in the Yemeni Coast Guard forces told Saba that the seized Egyptian boats were carrying large amounts of fish and diverse aquatic species.

The source considered the acts of fishing practiced by those boats a violation of the Yemeni fish wealth and inconsistent with the laws and rules of sea fishing, adding that a technical committee of the competent authorities was formed to determine the causes and motivations of smuggling, which is harmful to the national economy.
