President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi issued on 2/2/2015 directives to electricity officials to provide urgent solutions to end the recurrent crisis of power cuts during the coming summer.
This came during Sisi's meeting with Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker and Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Kamel El-Waziri. The meeting was attended by representatives of some international companies working in the electricity sector. The get-together tackled a number of projects aimed at fulfilling Egypt's needs of electricity by summer, presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef said. New power stations will come into service to overcome the crisis of power cuts, the spokesman said. He added that new technological applications will be carried out to increase the capacity of power stations while depending on renewable sources of energy. |
