Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mamish said that 86% of dry digging in the new canal has been completed, explaining that there is no influence on navigation at the Suez Canal.
Mamish added that Houthis threats in Yemen to close the Strait of Bab el-Mandeb will not affect navigation in the Suez Canal, pointing out that the Canal was not affected by political events over the past years. He explained that the Canal has achieved the highest rates during the year 2014-2015, in spite of the circumstances through which the country was undergoing. |
