Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab received on 23/2/2015 Italian Deputy Minister for Economic Development Carlo Calenda and his accompanying delegation. The meeting was attended by Egyptian ministers of trade and investment.
Mahlab has said that Egypt eyes further investment cooperation with Italy, noting that Egypt has a lot of lucrative investment opportunities. He added that Egypt could be Italy's gate to African and Arab markets. Mahlab reviewed mega projects under implementation in the county topped by the new Suez Canal. During the meeting, Calenda underlined Italy's support for Egypt in its war against terror groups. Calenda added that Egypt is a strategic partner to his country in the Middle East, noting that the two countries have similar views on many regional issues, such as the situation in Libya. |
